Most ppl have spent time, energy or money on a retirement plan? But who has spent time, energy or money on a wellness plan? Most ppl don’t think about it until its almost too late or when they are at the Doctor’s office with the dreaded news of some malady.
Do you want to grow older energized and uplifted? Do you want to travel and have energy and money to do things with your spouse? Yea, me too!
Since most ppl haven’t given it much thought because seriously, who wants to think about being ill or growing old? We ignore it for many reasons and some are obvious such as time. Who has the time to plan staying well? We are busy living and working.
I’m sure you have heard these sayings. •Time will catch up with you. •Everyone knows that getting old hurts! This is just a reality of life. The Questions therefore are how much will it hurt? When will it catch up with you?
The answer is up to you and what you plan to do today because as my mother n law says, tomorrow never comes! But when it does!
Here is an easy and cheap tip for you that you should do everyday, Walk! Yes, I know, walking is easy, cheap and you can do it anywhere! Even if it is raining outside you can walk in place, how about adding some music and walking to the beat! Dr Maroon, a brain surgeon, said that he changed his life which was very stressful because he was neglecting his own body and brain for that matter. He decided it was time to change and he started moving! At first it wasn’t easy. Everyday little by little he persevered to the finish line of a 4K race. Sweet Victory!
One thing I thought you would love to know, is he said that walking is so healthy for you that it can help counter depression. You heard that right, he said go out and take a walk to your pharmacy, not for antidepressent pills, but for some coconut oil! Your brain will improve with all that wonderful oxygen and blood circulating up there! Why coconut oil, it is excellent for your brain, he said it could help prevent Alzheimers.
Why is walking so good? Because exercise releases dopamines, the feel good hormones, then your brain will feel better, your heart will start pumping blood and oxygen through your circulatory system and energize your body! Wow! Isn’t that amazing! I am so happy to share this good news with you! So the tip of the day is, get Walking! So simple, isn’t it funny : )
